How can finding your passion help inspire others around you? This interactive discussion will bring light to typical hurdles that aspiring marketing and technical leaders face within the A/E/C industry and identify solutions to break down silos between technical and creative disciplines.

Points of discussion:

  • Knowing the value of a team
  • Determining what brings you joy
  • Identifying modest acts to amplify and inspire others in the industry


Session leaders will share their personal stories of building relationships between technical and marketing roles to contribute to the prosperity of their organizations. Hands-on exercises will encourage participants to find methods to improve how we are with each other in order to create productive environments that foster personal growth and inspire extended communities.

Session Leaders:

Katelyn Chapin, AIA

Katelyn Chapin is a project architect with Svigals + Partners, an architcture, art and advisory firm in New Haven, CT. Her background in art and gift of communication make her invaluable to the firm's client engagment efforts and to documenting the design process. Chapin has successfully facilitated colloborative design workshops for major commissions and diverse client communities. She currently serves as the AIA Young Architect's Regional Director of New England.

Allison Puzycki

Allison Puzycki is the Director of Marketing at CES, an MEP engineering firm in Middletown, CT. As a result of her experience in AEC from both architecture and engineering perspectives, Allison brings an extraordinary ability to orchestrate global company objectives. Amidst mounds of looming proposal deadlines, Allison makes peace out of the choas and still finds time to dedicate to big picture marketing goals. Allison is a master at uncovering the culture that exists within an established company and bringing those values to light. Combined with an endless ability to generate ideas and an energetic spirit, it's easy to be drawn into her enthusiasm. Through a genuine interest in the people around her and the abiity to easily assess each person's strengths and abilities, Allison thoughtfully creates an open atmosphere where all contributions are welcomed and each individual's talents are celebrated.
