You’re invited: SMPS CT turns 35! Join us as we celebrate this milestone with an educational event management panel to be followed by a birthday bash.

Have you ever wondered how far in advance is too far in advance to start promoting an event? What’s all the noise about event-themed #hashtags? How can I get the press to my event?  Now is your chance to ask our panel of event management, marketing, and public relations experts. This panel will be set-up as an open dialogue discussion, so bring your questions and be ready to engage!

The panel discussion will be followed by a birthday soirée where you can network, enjoy a cupcake, pick up a goodie bag, and explore the whimsical galleries of Real Art Ways.

Danielle Casey, Director of Corporate Sales & Catering, Present Company

Danielle Casey is a CT native with over 15 years in the restaurant and hospitality industry, working at some of the highest rated restaurants in the area. Graduate of Sacred Heart University, Danielle began her professional career at the Bushnell working for Max’s Catering. As an event coordinator, her responsibilities included running all aspects of dining and bar for theater, from shows to private events and offsite catering. In 2008, Danielle joined the team at the esteemed Polytechnic Club during its renovation and re-branding as The Restaurant ON20. Working as head server, assistant dining room manager and assistant event coordinator, Danielle was a part of the groundbreaking team that brought the once private, lunch only club to one of the top restaurants in the state.

Over the next few years Danielle worked as General Manager at The Mill at 2t in Tariffville, CT and Catering Manager for the Billy Grant Restaurant Group. Deciding it was important to diversify her skills, Danielle took a job as Marketing Coordinator at OFI. There she learned the importance of business development, social media, marketing campaigns and business plans. In 2017 Danielle’s dream job was offered to her, Director of Catering and Corporate Sales for the new restaurant, Present Company. Longtime friends and co-workers Tom Gale and Jeffrey Lizotte had re-opened the Mill at 2t as Present Company, a unique, open kitchen restaurant serving local, seasonal American fare. Taking everything OFI had taught her regarding business and marketing and combining it with her love and passion for food, wine, hospitality and service Danielle is now focused on the growth and success of Present Company Restaurant and Catering.
